When is a bath ok?

Raymo,, you need to check with your doctor on that, if you havent had your two week post op appt, you could check then. I have just now been allowed to start tub baths, and I had a TVH. The doctor will let you know when its safe for you. I have to admit though, its nice to do so again, but sorry bubbles are still out for me anyway.

Just call your doctor's office--my surgeon allows baths immediately, but most don't. Or check your discharge papers; I bet it's written down in there.

baths

I had my first checkup with gyne/surgeon at 6 weeks and was told no swimming, tub baths or jacuzzis before then. I had a TAH but have read that the rules are to limit infection and we all have stitches somewhere!

When is a bath ok?

I was released for a bath at 4 weeks, only a water soak. but I found it seemed to make the vaginal cuff more painful. So I went back to showers. I would not use bubbles if I was you. I just look at my jetted tub and cry,I love hot jucuzzi baths!!

When is a bath ok?

Thanks ladies! I had to call the dr today since I keep having this pulling pinching pain behind my pubic bone everytime I pee. I had to drop off a urine sample and am waiting for the nurse to call back. I also left a message regarding the tub. Hugs to all, Raymo

When is a bath ok?

i was allowed to take a bath in the hospital, but my hospital and dr both feel that baths help because it increases blood flow. i was also allowed to do this after my c-sections. I guess the research that they are finding out is that baths are a good thing, and my dr actually told me to take a hot bath for at least 30 min twice a day. they help me so much especially when i am in a lot of pain, but i would check with your dr b4 you do it. every dr is different

When is a bath ok?

Christina,
I sure hope my dr lets me take one soon! I am usually such a bath person and when I don't feel good, that is one of the big ways I feel better!! And it would have been good to take a bath when the rectocele repair starts pulling too. Hugs Raymo

Thanks Christina for the hugs and the positive "bath vibes!" LOL.

How are you feeling? what kind of hyst did you have? I see you had yours just before I had mine. Are you starting to feel better? I am feeling pretty good, just tired. I have a pinchy pulling pain behind my pubic bone when I pee.... Today I went grocery shopping, I was desperate!!! And boy did that tire me out. Also, the stuff for the pantry is still in the car waiting to be unloaded by hubby. I carried the stuff for the fridge/freezer one thing at a time. LOL Hugs Raymo
