LAVH Celebration Post!!!

I just wanted to share...a happy post!
I am now 18 days post op. Went back to the dr for some pain that just didn't feel "right" on Wednesday. Found out there was a surgical site infection that you couldn't tell from the skin, but was in a pocket of fluid under my lower incision and had a UTI (he said likely from the catheter). Started abx on Wednesday and can't believe how good I feel now!!! Hooray!
I wonder how much easier the last couple weeks would've been if I would've known about the infection. I had a 100.9 degree temp when I got there on Wednesday so his guess was the infection had been festering for awhile.
Yesterday I went all day long with no need for any pain meds, not even ibuprofen!
Here's to continued healing and getting back to life as normal! Well, as close to normal as I ever was anyway! ;-) lol!
