Over-doing it?

I had a TVH on Dec. 13th. So far it has been a very easy experience. I was home before 5pm that day and the last dose of pain meds was taken at 3:30 am on the 14th.

My biggest complaint has been the gas/air trapped in my abdomen and the constipation issues.

Overall feeling really great, which makes me very concerned about over-doing it.

Doctor gave fairly vague restrictions, but friends of mine have scolded me several times for things I have been doing. How do I know if I'm over-doing it?

Re: Over-doing it?

My doctor said, you'll know if you are doing something you aren't supposed to do because it will hurt. Well, right now, EVERYTHING hurts. He did send home a list of absolute no-no's though. Such as no driving for two weeks, no baths for at least 4 weeks, nothing in vagina for at least 6 weeks.

But hey, he walked me out to the hospital lobby this morning so I could get myself a latte.

Re: Over-doing it?

Thanks for your reply. I have had some painful twinges this evening, which made me start to worry. Felt great all day though, and had no pain while doing things. I guess I just need to make tomorrow lighter and see how it goes.

My restrictions were 1 week no driving. No lifting over 10-15 pounds for at least 1 week, no baths until flow completely stopped, nothing in vagina for 2 weeks.

These seem super mellow in comparison to what others have been told!
