7 months Post Op, heavy feeling lower abdomen

Hiya well the topic name says it all

I've a heavy feeling - not all the time - in lower abdomen. Went to the doctor yesterday who said its not common to have that so i have a scan scheduled for this afternoon.

I'm not overly concerned however i would like to know if anyone else has had this sensation and what caused it.

Yoga is my passion and my job, so i have always taught many classes every week. Recovery was long, just like it is for everyone else, i taught my classes whilst sitting on a chair and had someone demonstrate so i did everything i was told to my gp, specialist, everyone. My family would not let me do anything at all.

So i guess im at a loss here.

Im anxious to hear how your scan turns out. I am a group fitness instructor as well. Chomping at the bit to get back, but feeling at 8 weeks, that I am still not ready. Very frustrating to say the least. I don't have a heavy feeling but I just don't feel healed.
Good luck

Re: 7 months Post Op, heavy feeling lower abdomen

Hi luandchu, i hope your Christmas Day was magical.

My scans and appointments all came back with the all clear. There is no explanation as to why there was heaviness,

Accidental finding of 30mm cyst on left ovary and need to re scan in one month.

Please please please luandchu don't do anything 8 weeks is still very early days and healing after hyster takes time. I did absolutely everything my doctor said and it still took to 16 weeks post op for resuming of a lot if things (including intercourse).

Everyone heals differently so i really do urge you to rest. I'm generally a quick healer but this time not so much, all good now though at 7 months post op.

Re: 7 months Post Op, heavy feeling lower abdomen

Trudy,
If by magical you mean a 16hr day at a Correctional Facility, yes... it was magical. I am on day 4 back to work as an Officer and had to work a double today. Booooo
I completely understand, I am usually a quick healer as well, but this has really been a rough recovery for me. I am scheduled to teach my fitness classes starting on Jan 5th. I will modify for sure! We have resumed sex with no problems, other than slight discomfort the next day for a while. I just am struggling now that I am back to work. Swelling and feeling exhausted. But, I am doing everything my dr tells me to so I will just stay on course I guess. I think I may see her on Monday enyway as I have been having some thin discharge and not understanding why. Im guessing its a side effect off all the activity I have had to resume.
As far as your scan, do they think the cyst is causing the heaviness? That's very strange. Its good though that you are in tune with your body and can feel the difference. I hope it all ends up well for you!
Merry Christmas and speedy recovery!

Re: 7 months Post Op, heavy feeling lower abdomen

What colour is your discharge? I have a slight brownish colour for about 7 week post op and i took about 3 courses of anti biotics before they realised it was golden staff. Easily fixed with yet another but stronger course of anti biotics. Havent looked back since.

The heaviness feeling that i had could just simply be my exercise regime that is a little new, my doctor doesnt seem to think that the cyst has anything to do with it.

Our bodies are fickle and mysterious!

Back to you are you able to shorten your hours at work?

Re: 7 months Post Op, heavy feeling lower abdomen

No, its really all or nothing with hours at this point.
It is really thin, clear discharge, occasionally some yellow. nothing thick or smelly. It almost seems as though its just when my belly is super swollen, like the fluid that fills my abdomen has no where else to go but out one way or another. It is very strange. I will probably have it checked just in case.
