High heel pain 4 weeks post hysterectomy?

I'm 4 weeks post surgery and decided to wear my wedge boots. I did maybe 15 or 20 minutes of walking in 3 hours. 4 hours after taking them off, my right pelvic area is so sore, like I pulled a muscle. Anyone ever experience this after wearing heels after surgery? I'm scared I've wrecked something inside

Re: High heel pain?

Actually, some say that High heeled shoes cause you to tuck your pelvis in order to counteract the affects of the forward lean on your spine, so it could be the cause of the pain...
So you may have "over done it"... Don't think you caused any damages, just put your feet up and use a heating pad

Re: High heel pain?

My suggestion... wear flats for six months. High heels are actually very bad for you. I can't wear them at all any more and even half an inch causes my bad leg agonizing pain in a few hours. The way high heels work is they lift your heel and move your pelvis/abdomen to make your legs appear longer and thinner. That's great if you are in tip top shape (although how any woman can ever wear a stiletto heel, I will never know. Even at my healthiest the only word that came to mind was ow). Give your body time to heal, you will be able to wear them again. Eventually.

Re: High heel pain?

It sounds like wearing the heels put pressure & using muscles around the pelvis. Dont wear them until youre fully healed.
