Pre-Op appointment...

Well I had my pre-op today...now it is sinking in and the day is near, and I will be a whole new person. I am scared, aprehensive, and excited all at once (does this sound familiar?) Everything seems to be falling into place the only thing I don't like too much is I won't be able to wear my contacts during surgery (these are the kind you can sleep in ) I was soo hoping I could since I am extremely nearsighted and didn't like the idea of waking up and not being able to see. But on the AWESOME and GREAT side of it all I don't need to give (or recieve) an ENEMA!!! WOO HOO!!!! I do need to take a suppository the evening before but hey I can handle that. The vampiress came and took about half of my blood (that is of what I have left) Well thanks you all for letting me vent whatever it is I am feeling!!! Not too sure- tears last night, happy and smiling tonight. Very confused. But this too shall pass (I hope). Well I am sure I will be here much more before Tuesday. I practically live here already! Great site, I have learned soo much. And a great source for support when you need it. Thanks to all of you.
Much love

You go girl!

Yes, we are in the homestretch and you sound very very familiar in your comments, I feel the same way. Exhileration, a few fluttery butterflies, anticipation, some "aaaaaaaghs" all in the space of a few moments at times....

Let's hope the weekend just is terrific and Monday will give us some perfect CALM.

We're going to look so fantastic in our crowns!!!!!!

I'll be thinking of you, and all the other ladies, on THE DAY. Just knowing others are going through the same things, gives me good feelings...

Pre-Op appointment...

(((((Carrie))))))

Yes, that all sounds very familiar! But after my surgery, I wondered why I ever felt that way.

I too am very near-sighted and wear extended wear contacts. The nurse put my glasses in a bag with my clothes under the stretcher and let me put them on (glasses) in recovery once I woke up. That really helped. I had learned my lesson to take them with me after a previous surgery when I was miserable not being able to see a thing during those really groggy hours afterwards. Maybe this is an option for you too.

Good luck with your surgery! Continue to come here to help keep those jitters at bay until your date arrives and then come back when you're home and feeling up to it for some continued support.

s,
Pam
