Pulling pain in pelvic area

I am about 4 weeks post op. Saw my doctor last week and he said everything looked good. But the past 2 days I have sharp pains off and on in my vangina. Also a pulling pain in my pelvic area along with the feeling that there is a tennis ball sitting on my pelvic bone. What is all this? I thought I was getting better.

Re: Pulling pain in pelvic area

I am 20 days post op total robotic and I have pulling pain in my lower abdomen on and off. It comes and goes without warning and it is driving me crazy. I think it is the normal part of healing.....I have been like this for the past two weeks, actually my first few days after surgery were the best. It has been frustrating to say the least. Good luck and hope your discomfort and pain leave you soon...

Re: Pulling pain in pelvic area

If you had your cervix removed, that would account for the feeling of having a tennis ball on your pubic bone! I had that feeling (lost my cervix) and it didn't go away for ages. But seems to be normal!

Re: Pulling pain in pelvic area

I'd suggest the pulling feeling might be the internal sutures.

When they heal does that cause the pulling pain?

Never heard of it but I'm thinking pulling at the incision site is the two sections stretching a bit, until the pieces of tissue heal back together and the stitches dissolve.

Re: Pulling pain in pelvic area

I just saw a good family friend today who happens to be an OB/ GYN. She said the internal pulling sensation is a totally normal part of the healing process.
