Adhesions and questions...

I went to the doctor again on Tuesday, still having some pain near the right ovary. (Mind you I feel much better than before my surgery!) They did an ultrasound and feel that it might be adhesions and want to send me back to the original surgeon to talk. I want to know the following:

Can you SEE adhesions on an ultrasound?
Can the ovary be attached to the scar in some way?

I will ask the doc when I go, but I am wondering what the sisters have to say. I did read through the adhesions resource, but it talks a lot about more surgery and I sure would like to avoid that!

adhesions ARE a nightmare. not sure if they show up on ultrasound; however, my bowel was adhered to my ovary due to adhesions. that called for a surgery...it was very painful.

Adhesions and questions...

I agree with everyone else! Adhesions are a pain! I have endo, so that causes my adhesions. I am hoping that they don't come back! I had a laproscope done back in March and my right ovary was stuck to my intestines with scar tissue and the doc freed it for me. Then for about 6 months or more before my hyst, I had an almost constant pain on the right side. I thought the scar tissue was back already and that he would just have to go ahead and remove the right ovary, but he was able to leave both of them.
I don't know if adhesions can be seen with an US or not. They've never said anything to me about seeing it.
