orgasm after 3 weeks post op

I had an orgasm 12 days post op. Outside stimulation only, I was also having very vivid dreams and waking up very stimulated. I did not tell my doctor but it wad very nice to know everything still worked

I have those dreams now and take them as a good sign.

I've not done any more outside stimulation since that one time right after surgery, just to make sure everything still worked, but that was so important. I know you all have read some of the stories I've read - women talking about not being able to orgasm anymore. That scared me half to death.

Yes, that's exactly it! It's the muscles that ring the vagina that contract during orgasm according to a friend of mine who was a top women's health educator. A lot of women have fear they'll never have another orgasm if there cervix is also removed or they think the muscle contractions are based solely in the uterus. You would think the medical community would have figured this out by now. Sigh. Mine are stronger than ever, as good as they were in my 20's (I'm almost 50 now) when I was healthy. They're better than ever and they took my uterus and cervix and ovaries. So that kinda disproves all those theories that a woman needs a uterus or cervix for an orgasm.

I'm so pleased to hear this....
My husband and I were this close to getting all the kids grown and OUT and we were so looking forward to naked adventures at our leisure...and then this happened and I was so worried that it would put a damper on things....but...then my orgasm was strong (like always) 3 or 4 days after surgery and now you say this...it's quite reassuring!

do you have your ovaries. I too was happy I can orgasm...but it was drier n orgasm was not as deep. But good glad I can get aroused was scared with losing ovaries.

They may get even stronger as your body continues to heal. At least that's what I found.

I think those pelvic floor muscles that my friend was educating women about are critical! From what I understand, weak pelvic floor muscles weaker orgasms. Mine were extremely weak prior to my surgery and had been worsening over the last decade. I attributed it to getting older (as I'm almost 50 now). Surprise surprise it was the monster uterus and fibroids pushing down on those pelvic floor muscles. Once all that was removed.... well... ROCKET SHIP TO THE MOON! I'm 22 again! LOL
