Re: Best Wishes to our November 21 Princesses
As you prepare to go to the hospital for your surgery, I wanted to send you and best wishes for your surgery and recovery.
((sugarandspice) and I will be joining you in the Post Op Forum in the weekly Recovery Progress thread for those having surgery November 17-23. We will be there to support and encourage you and let you know that you are not alone in this journey.
As you are preparing your “special place” for recovery, here are a few items that many have found helpful.
-- Gas X
-- Stool softener (your doctor may suggest a specific one)
-- Wipes (gentle, non-alcoholic – more soothing than tissue)
-- Heating pad (helps to ease the pain)
-- Pillow for tummy support (especially if you cough, sneeze, or laugh)
-- Note pad & Pen (to help you keep track of your meds)
It is normal to have questions and be nervous. We will be by your side each step of the way. Try to sit back and relax and have a little “you” time. (bubble bath, chatting with friends, go out for coffee , take in a movie) Make a list of those last minute things you want to get done and won’t be able to do after surgery: last minute cleaning, grocery shopping, making meals and freezing them, having a special time with you family and loved ones.
Remember to pamper the princess.
I will see you on the other side.

I'm at 11:30. My kids all cried this morning as I dropped them off for school and I'm craving a cup of coffee something fierce! LOL
Praying for you all!

Re: Best Wishes to our November 21 Princesses
It's 2am and I can't sleep. My hyster didn't go as planned at all and I am in pain. Doctor ended up not being able to go vaginal. Turns out I had adenomyosis and not endo. I did get to keep my ovaries! I am in so much pain from abdominal though but I have some amazing nurses that are so understanding. I am truly blessed!
