4 weeks post op I was having a pains after urinating and other random moments. Dr. was sure it was a UTI gave me meds and told me to take care accordingly. After UTI test was negative (which I knew there was no way it was a UTI) at 6 week post op Dr. discovered a decent sized granulation tissue formation. We have been doing silver nitrate treatment twice a week in the begininning and down to once a week for the last 10 weeks (so much fun that I look forward to it each week
) So yesterday, at what was "supposed" to be my last nitrate violation he discoverd a new granulation bigger than the one we were initally treating...say what
? His answer now is to surgically remove them on Friday. When asked what is causing these to form he says, "there could be a million reasons"...okay
I asked if he needed to do some sort of scope to make sure there wasn't anything crazy going on in there and he expressed no concern or need to do so. Huh?! If these granulations weren't making sex painful I would just leave them alone. But I kinda need to give it up occasionally for the sake of my poor husband.
I would seek a second opinion however, our little family is moving in 3 weeks, 8 hours away. It takes at least a month to get an appt with another Dr. around here. So do I just suck it up and have them taken out, what can it hurt?
Up until the last few months I have never once doubted my Dr. he has been great. He delivered both of my boys and I've had nothing but confidence in him. However, after all of this granulation mess and my hormones being wacky I just don't know what is going on. I have literally been a hot mess!
Sorry for such the long post, I just feel so puzzled.
