date changed and procedure changed

So saw my surgeon today and we had to change the date. It was April 1st now April 17th.Now I have longer to worry about it!! They were going to do an abdominal but my doctor is confident we can do it laparoscopically. Im worried, after my laparoscopic gallbladder removal I was in so much pain for about two weeks!! I am officially freaking out

Re: date changed and procedure changed

I understand how your feeling im very for your situation. Yesterday I went in for my surgery. They were having a hard time putting my IV in (they stuck me literally 10xs). While the doctor was waiting my urine and blood test results came back and my anathesiologist decided to call it off. They want to put me on a few new meds for a few weeks then 1 week b 4 surgery they want to test me again and see if anything has changed. So basically I have to start the whole process over starting with my new surgery date. I wont know until next week what my new date will be. So I can imagine how stressed out and disappointed you are. I spent the last 3 weeks planning for my surgery and now im not sure what to do next. I say try and stay busy the best you can. Iv decided to use the time I have researching more about my surgery and what I will go through afterwards. As well as planning on how to make my next trip to the hospital easier (hydrating more, relaxation techniques, and so on). If you need someone to talk to please feel free to contact me. For now take my DH's advice and just breathe.
