worried

hi, I am suppose to start taking promethium , and I read a. article from. Marie pace. she is a dr online, she said when you add progesterone back in the body. after about 10 days, you will have what she calls. estrogen. wake up, the syptoms are hot flashes, irritable ties, panic attacks, mood swings, and a few others, I am really nervouse about that, right now, I have joint pain that comes and goes like the time of day the divigel. dose is getting low, but my breast are swollen and tender, painful too. I see the NP tomorrow to see what my blood work levels are, I use divigel once in morning, the next morning I am waking up heart pounding shaky anxouse, like I need to apply it again. but my breast are swollen and tender,
I thought that was a sign I had too much estrogen, or does that mean too much E compared to P, this E wake up is making me nervouse, what do you think, thanks".....

I would take a symptom diary to your fic and ask for feedback. They can put anything on the Internet And it doesn't have to be true. I take small dose of progesterone and haven't had the problems you mentioned. Everyone is different and they may need to check your levels. Good luck.

Re: worried

One can read too much on the Internet. I would take the advice of your personal doctor rather than a non personalized doctor that wrote some article on the internet, whom knows nothing of your personal medical history.

Re: worried

For me, this shaky anxious feeling is a sign of too much estrogen, not too little.

Have you tried decreasing your estrogen instead of adding progesterone? Or dividing your dose?

Re: worried

hi, I get really tired and achy, when lowering the dose, I do stop shakyness and heart pounding when I apply it in the morning, and I tried dosing it 2x day and I get a lot of fluation
all day. I have a lot of stress in my life right now too. and worrying on top of that makes
things worse I know. thanks so much...

Re: worried

For me having a lot of stress causes me to need more estrogen. Also having a lot of stress can certainly cause nervousness, irritability, even achiness. Have you tried any relaxation techniques. When I was studying to pass a huge exam, I would wake up the way you are describing. My doc increased my estrogen (it tested really low) and I started spending at least 30 minutes a day concentrating on relaxing. That helped a lot. I hope you get it figured out.

Re: worried

I assume during all this time, that you've tried other methods? some women find patches work better at keeping their levels even.

Re: worried

I agree with Elsie about the stress. That can cause levels to fluctuate.

Re: worried

I had exactly the same shakiness and aching when I used oestrogel and it was wearing off! Like you say after applying things would settle only to return the following day! I didn't have swollen breasts though! I have switched to patches but still finding some drop towards end of patch life!
I think the gel would be great if the dose was more even as felt more myself on it!
Whatever you decide you need to stick at it for several weeks!
