Body odor changes

So I have noticed since my surgery, my body odor has changed A LOT!! Nothing a shower can't handle, however, noticably different... I don't sweat like a normal person since I have a heat intolerance, since I was born.. But I have been sweating a lot at night.... My arm pits are the biggest change in odor, but my body has changed too.....

Re: Body odor changes

I went through this too. Now my body odor is back to normal. It is the body expelling some of the chemicals they used during your surgery. It took me about a month or a bit more to expel all that stuff. It came through my armpits, through the vagina as well. Now everything is back to the way it was. I smelled like Bactine for the longest time.

Re: Body odor changes

Hi! The night sweats could be your body telling you that it needs estrogen.I had to go on Premarin. I also had a TAH and had a different smell for about a month and then it went away. Check with your doctor if the symptoms get unbearable. Get plenty of rest and take care of yourself.

I was on estrogen all along and have remained at the same dosage, but the smell went away after a month.

Re: Body odor changes

Thank you ladies.. I'm barely 10 days post-op.. Had the night sweats I think 4 times or so.. My doc gave me a huge dose of estrogen at time of surgery... I go back to see him in 2 weeks, just had my first post-op 3 days ago, he will discuss estrogen when I see him unless I need it before... My boobs are extremely sore... And I'm pretty sure they have grown 1/2 a size ( which I'm elated about )
