High blood pressure post op at night !

Just a question , I have had high blood pressure for the last few years , but for some reason about a week and a half after my surgery I awoke at 1:30 am one morning with very high blood pressure 225/107. I am now on another pill along with my normal blood pressure pill to bring it down when it spikes and it is always in the wee hiours of the morning when it does spike high ? Any ideas >>> anyone else have this issue .

Yikes. That really is significantly elevated. What causes you to take your reading when it is high? Are you symptomatic? Are you having pain. What ever you do don't miss any of your medications, and if you continue to get high readings call your Dr. Sometimes women need to be on several different cominations of medications to keep it controlled.
