Surgery mon eeek

Hi ladies,
I'm scheduled for surgery mon afternoon, im in the uk. vaginal hysterectomy and posterior repair. I'm starting to feel nervous and was having doubts however just had period and this had made me sure of my decision!
I suffer with multiple prolapse and heavy painful periods.
USS showed tilted uterus and overly thick endometrial lining with PCO so even though I'm 33 I'm ready to give up the uterus and ready for life on the other side.
Pointless post really....just needed to put it out there.

Re: Surgery mon eeek

Hello. My surgery is also scheduled for Monday and I'm also in the Uk! I have adenmyosis so constantly have my period! I'm also very nervous! I'm 38 and have 3 children. My eldest is disabled so I'm normally lifting and carrying her. Stressed about the recovery!
I hope all goes well for you xx

Re: Surgery mon eeek

Wishing you both the very best of luck with your surgeries.
Lillybet I really hope you've got plenty of help at home. I've got an early 4 yr old that loves to be carried or cuddled to mummy. My mum is on holiday until thurs so mother in law and my friend sorting my kids out until mum home as hubby can only have mon/tues off work.
I'm lucky my mum will be a huge help.
Thinking of all the ladies about to commence the journey to reclaiming their lives x

Re: Surgery mon eeek

Thanks ApplePip. My husband is taking 2 weeks off then returning to work part time. My daughter has PA's (personal care assistants) who can also help. I've been told I can't lift her for 3 months though! We have a holiday booked in August so I'm trying to keep positive and think I'll be ok by then. Hope you all have plans in place for your recovery time. Good luck sisters xx

Re: Surgery mon eeek

We have a holiday in June to Egypt. 8 wk post surgery. There is 30 adults and children so I'm exempt from suitcase duty.
I've been told a minimum of 12 wk off work due to the nature of my job so I plan on taking recovery as seriously as I can.
