Burning /Stinging pain on right side of incision

Mine seem to surface on day 6 and seemed to disappear by day 21. I think it is part of the healing process inside AND a reminder to take it easy.

I am now 9 days post-op and have the constant stinging, pulling, burning pain on the right side of my abdominal incision.

I did not have this feeling until last Friday. My DH brought me dinner and the smell of food made me violently ill. It was all I could do to hold trash can with one hand and hold incision with the other hand. (I was not nauseous just prior to this happening).

I do not know if I damaged any internal stitches or if this pain is part of the recovery process. I am almost out of percoset - the Advil does not even begin to ease this pain. I am contemplating calling my doctor if this does not feel better in a day or two. This constant pain is making me feel miserable, hard to sit comfortably for any length of time, hard to walk for fear I am going to rip something - the only relief I get is taking pain pill and lying down with heat pack. I am still sleeping downstairs on couch because the pain is so sharp it hurts to climb the stairs to our bedroom.

Oh how I wish I could fast forward the clock by a couple of months...no, I would be happy to fast forward just a couple of weeks.

I have this starting today (day 14 for me). It's knocked me on my keister today. It's not constant but kinda like a burning contraction to the right of my naval. I was at the doctor yesterday and felt great. I didn't over do it yesterday or over the weekend. I am assuming it's part of the healing process. I am going to go take some Ibuprofen now and see if that helps.
