TVH: just got my date.. and .. now...

I am with you. I have just got my date for 2/18. I had the option of the ablation as well as the TVH. I chose to go with the TVH because I just want to be done and not worry about it anymore after the 6ish weeks.

My question to the group since I have just read some of the preop papers, do we need to have blood reserved and ready, I forgot to ask my doctor. So, I guess I will be calling them back but just wanted to know what everyone else has heard.

Anxious, scared, nervous you name it!

I have used tampons for 30 years, never used pads, and I noticed the same thing, with each passing month they became harder and harder to insert. I too thought it was just me. It is good to know that there are so many other ladies that understand this difficulty. I am 10 days post op and did too much today so have to stay in bed but otherwise have been feeling pretty good after such a huge surgery. Best Jem

I totally understand! I just got my date last Monday. My LAVH is scheduled for 2/16/10. Now all I have to do is WAIT. I am so nervous. I just want to get it over and quit being anxious.
