Spotting from heating pad?

I was told to use heat and ice after I left the hospital. But, I've noticed that I started spotting quite a bit after using the heating pad a longer while today (I don't often use it, and never for long). I don't normally spot...does this make sense to anyone or is it just a coincidence? I wondered if the increased blood flow from the heat could cause bleeding. ARGH! I really didn't want to be bleeding again considering I bled daily for a year and heavily before that.

I bled for a couple of weeks after my hyst and this is considered normal to bleed following surgery and it sort of tapers off.

If you bled and then it stopped for some time and then started up , you need to call your Dr. Any new bleeding should be reported to your dr.

I am not sure if heating pad would do this and you need to ask about this to see if you need to continue using it.

Thanks for your reply! I put in a call to my doc. I'm sure I won't get past the nurse adn she'll probably tell me it's normal, but you're right - I really should check.
