I'm Home

I came home yesterday, the princess is tired and a little sore. The gas pain is unbelieveable. been takeing stool softners, and pain medication. No hrt for me so far haven't had a hot flash or nite sweats. I worried for nothing, about the surgery. The pain isn't that bad, that you can't cope. Haven't had BM yet, maybe when I do the pain will be easier. I do my walking drinking my water, and rest like I should. Glad it is over, the best is yet to come. Hope my other sisters are doing as well.

Welcome home Fancy nancy...what type surgery did you have? I can relate to the gas pains. That was the worst part of recovery (for me) for about 2-3 wks. Once that settled down, I began to feel soooo much better. Take good care of *you*!

Nancy,

Glad you're back. Also glad I read your post today. I am having my TAH tomorrow (Thursday) and I have all of your same problems (I guess you don't have them anymore!). I decided this morning would be the last time I read posts until I'm home from the castle. Woke up very nervous this morning but feel a little better after reading your post.

May your recovery be speedy!

Thank you all for the well wishes, for those who wanted to know I had tah/bso, bikini incision. General anesthesia with epidural for pain, didn't get nauseated because I told them I wanted something for that, because I did get sick before for another surgery. I had very good care, They had me sit on the side of bed the night of surgery, to daggle my feet. Then saturday morning I took my first walk, wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. drank liquid diet until I could pass gas, which happend that night before dinner, so I got to have a regular diet. Sunday walked about 5 times, and rested. Monday morning came home. Once again thanks for the well wishes
