new and need information

ok, i need help. I have adnomyoma and my doctor suggested I have my uterus removed. I have put off this surgery for years. I took every known therapy known to mankind and this is my final choice...to accept this pain or have it taken out. Here's the thing...I can accept 2 days of pain, but all the rest leading up to my period is miserable. Migranes, extreme moodiness, fatigue, cramps (you get the idea). My doctor says the uterine removal will not eliminate the other stuff, just the pain and I won't have any more periods. Is there anyone that has experienced relief with the other monthly "stuff"? I don't know that I can justify surgery if the other stuff doesn't go away as well. Please help.

Hi! to Hyster Sisters!

I saw your post as a reply in the Post-Op forum and wanted to move you here to the Hysterectomy Options and Alternatives forum so that you can get replies for your concerns from women facing the same decision and also from women who have had surgery.

Good for you to research before consenting to any surgery! You can ask any questions you have in this forum for now and if later you and your doctor agree on a hysterectomy, you can then move to the Pre-Op message board. The Post-Op board is the one to use after surgery.

Be sure to have a look in the Resources Directory for more information. The link is under the Hyster Sisters logo, top/left side of the page.

Good luck making this important decision!

Thanks so much for your support. I am having a hard week. I still have 6 more Yasmin tablets to take before the "happy white ones' and I am already bleeding. Not very much though, but the pain and fatigue is wiping me out.
