Adhsions or not

Hi everyone well I am just over 3 months our from LAVH, on May 05,05. Lately I have a strange pain when I sneeze lower right where ovarie was. The first time it happened I sneezed and just about doubled over in pain, now if I sneeze or cough I grab my right side it hurts, it is hard to explain, hurts and pulls. Also horrible bowels, I am afraid to leave the house in the afternoon terrible diareah after lunch daily. I never fails if I go out the pain starts and there better be a bathroom around fast. Pain when that hits is on the right as well. My mom thought maybe adhesions. I hope not, but I have had them before years ago along with scar tissue.
I just moved to FL and dont have a new OBGYN yet, I dont get to see my pcp until mid sept. I am out of my hormone patch with no refills and hot flashes oh man, I dont think I will ever be able to complain I am cold again like I did back in Maine. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Adhsions or not

Hi

Can you give your former gyn a call and get more patches until you can get in to see the new pcp?
Seems all too hard on the body to go without the hormones, simply because the dr is not yet lined up!

Hmm..re: the adhesions/sneezing issue?
Not really sure about that - I guess it is entirely possible.
I've not experienced adhesions (er, that I know of.. I'm 10 wks post-op) Sorry to hear of the bowels issue too.
You need to get in to see a dr sooner!

Giving this post a to see if any other Sisters have had adhesions.

Adhsions or not

After my surgery I had terrible pain when sneezing and coughing. It was a pulling/tugging/sharp pain that would subside a minute or two afterwards. I had a Monarc Hammock placed in March '04 and the Dr also did a laproscopy to find the source of my pain--diagnosis adhesions.
The pulling you describe is a textbook symptom of adhesions. The only way to positively diagnose adhesions is with surgery (usually laproscopic) however with every surgery theres the risk of new/more adhesions forming; its a catch 22. You should run your symptoms by your Dr and get a professional opinion.

stay well
