Something to make you laugh ...

Okay here you go...

DH is getting ready to go to work and he stops putting on his tie and he turns around and look at me and says: " There is something I keep forgetting to ask the doctor"

So I say: What is that babes?

He says: I understand that he took your uterus and that he stiched you up, but I was wondering what he stiched your ovaries to. They were attached to your uterus before and since your uterus is gone now, what did he do with the ovaries if they are still in there.

I just looked at him and started laughing.

It makes you wonder what realoly goes on in a man's mind. I would have never thought in a million years to ask that question.

You gotta love your man!!!

That's beautiful!!! They may be well-educated, hard-working and quite knowlegable about the world...but ask them about female anatomy and they are all the same! I love it! Thanks for the laugh!

Ahhh...you just gotta love them! My DH asked a few questions like that too. He wanted to know what they do with the things they take out. Where do they? What do they do with them? I told him I really don't care, just glad it's out!

hang on, sisters. when they told me they were leaving one ovary i asked what it was attached to also! i knew there was an ovarian ligament that attached it the uterus so i had an image of it floating around freely, post-op.

i also asked where the eggs go. i had this image of the egg making it to the fallopian tube and sliding down like it was a big slide and going "wheeeee" and then crashing at the end, wondering where the big cushy thing was!!! (you absorb the eggs, in case anyone was wondering.)

and yes, i am college educated and well read. that doesn't mean i truly understood my own anatomy. i think many many women could not tell you exactly where the ovaries are attached.

so be nice to the boys.
