sick at my stomach, thinking
Hi all!!
Hello to all October 10th sisters!! Only one more week to go!! And praying it flys by!!! I have been feeling fairly calm its the brain fog that is killing me! I am usually a very sharp person but I forget stuff now 5 minutes after doing it!!! Just the other day at work I went to the ladies room and when I went back to my desk forgot my log in for my phone and just started to cry!!! Needless to say, my co-workers are glad I am leaving come Friday!!
Let's all keep in touch if anyone just wants to talk email me and I will be happy to help, it will also help me!!!

Oh no..........I forgot about the dog nails!
gotta run!
PS: Hang in there gals: I'm am not nervous at all and last night had horrible cramps and bleeding and realize this is just my tap on the shoulder to say....the surgery is a good thing!
RE: nervous stomachs: I had horrendous burps and indigestion and it turned out it was from my Aygestin....as they have tapered for surgery it's much improved (though the floods resumed!)
My only concern is they will cancel surgery cuz my cholesterol is probably 2million as my husband has been cooking all this delightful red meat to build me up for surgery!

Uhhhhhhhh, worrywort;
Don't know the answer to your question but I will tomorrow.....will keep you'all posted but I expect if pain control is done properly you're probably relatively comfortable in the hosp.
I think the general anesthesia reactions and GI stuff (gas) afterwards is probably a very person to person thing but for the most part i key in on everyone saying......."It wasn't as bad as I thought and I worried for nothing!"

The best thing I did
Hi everyone, I know how easy it is to worry about hysterectomy. I put off having mine for 10 years, but at last I have finally had it done and I am so pleased I did! My main worries were the anaesthetic and looking after the family afterwards. But there really wasn`t anything to worry about. The premed relaxed me and helped me sleep the night before, then I had some more in the morning before they took me down to theatre. I think I told the nurses we were having a party(I was so happy and giggly) and that`s the last thing I remember about that day! I only really became aware of things the following morning when I woke up-no pain cos of pain meds, and thought- wow! it`s all over!!!!! That was 7 weeks ago and since then I have slept alot, rested, slept some more, watched tv , logged in here (brilliant!) and generally done "not a lot". Everyone survived without me fussing around them and now I feel GREAT! It really was the best decision I finally made. Hugs, Gina.

sick at my stomach, thinking
I got into my room at 7:00 p.m. Mon. the 10th after a 2:15 p.m. surgery (recovery time, etc.) and don't remember much during the night. I know I must have asked for pain meds. I remember the next morning having the tv on watching Good Morning America and the 1st tower on fire then the plane hitting the 2nd tower and wondering if I was dreaming. I was pretty in and out of it the rest of the day. Can only remember bits and pieces of family visits. Just keep on top of the pain meds and times to get them. I never allowed myself to go beyond the three to four hours but once. Decided never again.
Good luck!!!
