Happy to never bleed again

I'm still checking too! After my TAH, I had maybe one or two days of spotting, and since then, nothing! Not even after the first time we had sex! I think it may take a bit to realize that it's finally over. Not sure how long that will take, but I am so looking forward to walking the golf course this summer, and not having to hit every single porta-john!! My golf bag might even feel lighter now that I don't have to hide my supplies in it!!

My tampons are going to my sisters. However, any leftover pads are going to be saved. I have an 11 year old DD. Not sure when she will start, as I was 14, one sister was 13, and the youngest one was 11. Ugh! I am so hoping that she takes after DH's side of the family, as my sisters, mother and myself have all had so many issues for so many years! Hoping the chain is broken with her....................

A new life of freedom! I am part of the group who is celebrating with white pants. I haven't found that great pair of white jeans yet, but I have two pairs of white capris now, and I am wearing them proudly!!

I am so glad someone posted this thread. I was thinking about the same thing the other day. Sheesh, when am I going to stop checking? I do not miss it. It caused me so much pain, discomfort, and limited my life so much. Much more than I realized after having the surgery. The things that I would freak out about now I can do and do and not worry about accidents. Now going for a long quiet drive in the country with my husband is so much more of a cherished thing that it was before my surgery. I am so much less stressed out.

Amen. I have NEVER missed bleeding. It is a blessing so huge that sometimes I cannot believe it! Amen

this is so funny, yes I am doing all the same checks and double checks and can't wait to throw away all of that stained underwear, it's such a relief to know I won't be a prisoner to my home for 6 days out of the month anymore.

I am 3 weeks out from the hyst--and still keep wearing pads every day. Nothing is happening but I can't quite believe it yet...

Yeah !!!!!! out and about . I can plant flowers bending over..
