For those having a hard time with bowel movements, I found something that works

Only it's extreme. I was having such a hard time and hadn't taken a decent poo in weeks. I cut out all meat and dairy. I'm following a whole foods vegan diet. So I'm just pretty much sticking to beans, nuts, grains, fruits and veggies. I use coconut milk coffee creamer in my coffee now. I'll be honest, I don't know how long I will be able to keep it up. I'm satisfied with just this food but I'm not sure if I'll start craving the meat and dairy again later. Anyway, the results are amazing in the bathroom, lol. No more time consuming and labor like work just for a poo pebble, lol. Also, it's helping a lot with my discomfort and pain levels.

Fiber is your friend!

I prefer almond milk in coffee. I haven't tried the coconut milk yet.

I was doing plenty of fiber before. I think my body just isn't digesting meat and dairy well after the surgery. Coconut milk is awesome! I haven't tried the almond one yet. I didn't like the soy coffee creamer.

Yeah, the soy creamer tasted like beans. To me, it was... weird.

It's not unusual for the body to have issues digesting dairy after surgery, not to mention it is very constipating.

I found my energy is higher with a whole foods diet as well.

I feel like I've struck gold here. My energy levels are improving, my pain levels feel more controlled and I think this will help heal the complications I've been having. Time will tell. I was scared at first to try vegan because I was afraid it would make me gassy and having gas now is so painful but I haven't had issues with painful gas.

Have you checked out the Hippy Gourmet yet? His show and cookbook are fabulous. I believe his website has some free recipes.
