seven weeks out today

I am seven weeks out and went back to work a week ago. I work in a school and the stress level isn't terribly high. Today felt like one big hotflash and now as I write this, I feel drained and kind of funny physically. HELP!!!!

I have not had any hot flashes since last Feb when my gyno put me on hormones. He switched me the Friday after my surgery to another kind and so far so good. I am sorry about your hot flashes and hope they pass as they are the worst and the night sweats are horrible. Rest when you can especially since you have just started back to work. If you start feeling really weird you might just want to call your doctor to make sure. I also work for a school district in the Technology Dept. Hight stress, very busy and I am the liason to the district for customer service. I can sit and get up when needed and have plenty of people to help me with any lifting I need, just hope I remember since I normally do it on my own. Also, I found if I put a ice pack on my neck it made my hot flashes easier. Take care

Hi sjcpd33,

Those hotflashes can be really icky. You're really not that far out from surgery yet - may I suggest you put a quick call in to your doctor? You may not have to suffer like this because your doctor may have some really good solutions. Plus, he or she will probably want to know about these symptoms you're having (fatigue, hotflashes, etc.)

I do hope you start to feel better soon! Will you let us know what your doctor says?
