4 months after surgery having cramps

I had my hysterectomy on may 2nd. I healed fine and haven't had any issues since my recovery. For the past 2 days I have had cramping equal to menstrual cramps although they aren't nearly as painful. I was just wondering if this is normal or should I consult the doctor.

Re: 4 months after surgery having cramps

If the pain goes on I would call your doc. Sometimes I have a sharp pain where my one ovary is when I ovulate but it goes away. I hear some women still get PMS symptoms after a hysterectomy. For the first six months after surgery, I swear my body went through PMS right about the time I would have expected my period. It's like my brain hadn't realized it was missing the "star" of the monthly show..

Hi, I'm 15 weeks post op and have started having stabbing pains and a bit of cramping too! It feels like PMS - I don't have my ovaries but still feel moody and crabby! I've been feeling really good but the past few days has been awful... So I guess I know how you are feeling. I think I'm going to go back to taking some herbal medication.
I've had a few issues with my breathing when I exercise too so I'm going to see my doctor next week.
I just think it's something we will go through for some months.
