achy legs 8 weeks post

I am 8 weeks post op and feel pretty good most of the time except I keep having achy legs and lower back.
It is not like a muscle ache but just a deep ache like you would if you had the flu. I know I don't have the flu.
I felt like this at about 3 weeks post-op but it had went away. I just wondered if anyone else was experiencing this and it was just still part of recovery.

Re: achy legs 8 weeks post

I have the Same symptoms. The have never gone away. But from what I understand its called Femoral Nerve Myopathy and is usually temporary. Its from trauma aka the surgery causing a shock to the Femoral Nerve at the very top of the thigh into the groin. It happens from being on your back in stirrups during the surgery. Explain to your Doctor Concisely what is happening, make sure he understands that this is a serious symptom and ask him for treatment options.

Re: achy legs 8 weeks post

Thanks for replying everyone. Glad to know I'm not crazy. It is just frustrating because I would feel pretty good if this leg pain would go away. I have noticed that the more I walk around and even try to excercise it seems to help. I have also been sleeping with a pillow between my legs and that helps. I wake up in the mornings sometimes with them hurting, which seems weird. Hope everyone feels better and Happy New Year.
