No Sleep!

Hi,

I had a complete hysterectomy 11 days ago. I have stopped pain meds because its bearabe now and I have had constipation. The past couple of nights have been horrible. Last nightit took forever to fall asleep and woke up off and on then wide awake at 2:30. Dozed for a bit after 5! I started back work today (from home) and this just can't work.

Any suggestions to help sleep? I am gonna ask my doc when I go back for my 2 week checkup but I want any and all suggestions please.

I take benedryl to sleep. Helps me a lot. I feel good the next day too.

Advil PM has really helped me. It's been 8 weeks since my surgery. TAH. I still can't get a good nights sleep without it. Unless I have a few glasses of wine.

If you don't want a pain med sleep aid, melatonin is great. I can take a half pill and it's just enough to keep me asleep and it's non habit forming.

Thanks all. I really want a natural form if possible. I already take Topimax for migraines and Cymbalta for anxiety/depression. Now I have an estrogen patch. I feel like a druggie :-)
