question about ovarian cysts

At some point I had a very large cyst on my right ovary and it ruptured. It was found during my surgery and hence my right ovary was removed.

I went to the gym to walk today, 1st time since surgery. My intention was to try to walk a mile, of course at a slower pace and with breaks as needed. My body felt so much better than it had the last time I walked. I used to get a lot of hip and lower back pain and sometimes a stabbing pain in my shoulder blade (all on the right side). I had always blamed it on my scoliosis, but since I had none of these pains now it got me wondering if all of that could have been related to my ovarian cyst?

Re: question about ovarian cysts

In my case it did make a difference. I was treated for years for a back problem with pain down legs. Every doctor I went to said my disc were herniated but not bad enough to cause the pain. So I would leave very frustrated and with some new kind of pain pill which I never really took. Lost 6 weeks of work because one doctor thought just resting it would help. Nothing seemed to work. Within a week of my surgery I noticed my back was feeling so much better and no pain down legs. 'mI just about 10 months now and no back or leg pain.

My doctor said those pesky little cyst can cause havoc on the nerves.

I would never have thought my hyst was going to solve 2 problems in one. But it did. YEAH
