Bleeding 5 days post D&C- and how!

Hullo all-

I had a D&C on Friday, to confirm my diagnosis (complex atypical hyperplasia) headed into my hysto (dvh Aug 18). I am 5 days post-op, and it --- is ---- time for my period, but- holy heck! I am bleeding through an overnight pad every half an hour or so. I also have an enlarged lymph node on my right side, neck. My doc seemed pretty unconcerned and is having me come in at 8 tomorrow morning, but does this sound crazy to anyone else?

I mean, I have heavy periods and cramping- that's how I got here, but this is heavy- fast- bright red flow and pretty severe cramps and pain. Definitely different than I'm used to.

Other than going to the doctor in the morning, I'm at a loss. I came home from work and am laying on a hot pad (though it's 100 degrees outside, and I don't really want to).

Also- any thoughts about what is the best pad out there? I'm not allowed to use tampons yet, and have been using always infinity overnights.

I don't know what your dr. recommended (go with whatever dr. said), but heat is usually better to get blood flowing and relieve pain, rather than trying to reduce bleeding. A cold pack seems more appropriate if you are not too cold from blood loss, but I am not a dr. or nurse. If you get pale, cold, and shaky you should probably get someone to drive you to the ER to be examined. I hope you feel better soon!
