A couple of those pesky TMI questions..lol

When I had my 4 week exam, doc released me but told me my cuff stitches were still there and would be coming out soon. So far I have only noticed 2. There could have been more that I didn't see. I was just curious if anyone had a rough idea about how many there were? Just a ballpark idea... 10?...50? 1000?

Second question... I know douching is never really recommended and its not something I do on a regular basis, but there are those times it's just really a 'have to' thing. For any sisters that use douches.....how long after surgery did you wait before you did?

I'd call your Dr's nurse and ask her these questions since they'd know best.

I am going today for my six week checkup, at my 3 week, I asked about the stitches, he told me it was one continuous stitch, since then I have only noticed one piece come out, But I too have been wandering about douching, since I have been experiancing alot of itching, I plan on asking that question. I'll keep you posted, but keep in mind everyone is different. Asia

Went for the checkup, everything all healed, life is a go ahead, aked about the douching, my doctor doesn't recomemd it to anyone, it removes natural bacteria that is there to shun off the bad stuff. he says if any thing it can cause infection, that it can forse bacteria up furthur, Made sense, but still don't like the idea of not doing it. Oh well good luck with your healing.
