Re: Husband not getting it!

Oh my gosh Im still so PMSy One moment Im crying and the next moment Im mean as a hornet. Im so glad to know that Im not alone. I also go to keep my Overies. They might have taken everything thing else but I am still a woman and we are emotional beings. I really dont think anyone understands unless they have been through this, I am 5 weeks out now and my emotions are all over the place and my friends look at me like Im crazy. I cant wait to feel normal again whatever that might be

Oh Fawn, you gave me a good laugh, however unintentionally! I think my husband and your boyfriend could be brothers! I bite my tongue, a LOT whenever he pulls this!

My boyfriend would get it the first time he read it somewhere or heard it from someone ELSE...even though I'd been telling him the exact same thing over and over. Plus, he'd read it on the website, and then HE'D tell ME about it like I had no clue. He'd be like, "Oh, Fawn...this website says if you kept your ovaries, you'll still get PMS...so...it looks like you'll still get PMS, just to let you know..."

Re: Husband not getting it!

I didn't ask either. The doctor told me to go home and discuss it, before I left her office I told her we'd discussed it beforehand and I'd take the next available date. Then I texted him and had him clear his schedule. He was delighted, thinking this will help my wife be human again, even though I have to keep referring him back to Misterhysters so he can get a clue when I'm crying my eyes out or stubbornly refusing painkillers.

Lallyoop that doesnt work with my husband after 23 years the only thing that does work is to repeat repeat repeat its getting old lol. MrsAllnut when I finally found out I was getting a hysterectomy I think my husband was happy thinking no more PMS but then again I didnt ask him what he thought I told him when and where and didnt ask him how he felt. This website is great for learning new things it is something I love about it. It has helped me a lot.

Re: Husband not getting it!

That is a great idea for the tape recorder lol. People have asked me what my husband thought and I tell them it wasnt his uterus so it didnt matter lol. He thought I would be happier I think because I wouldnt be in pain and bleeding all the time and I am just not when I am PMSing lol I wish he would look at that site but he wont

Re: Husband not getting it!

i will be "getting" my period next Tuesday ish plus a few days depending. i imagine my cycle will still be in it's crazy pattern of reg reg short long cycles... I ovulated a week ago Tuesday and I def felt those hormones lmao. I was like a cat in heat. Luckily my hubby is even more cautious then me and wouldnt let us do anything down there despite my uhm purring lmao. he gets that I will still ovulate and have my hormones just no periods, bc, pregnancy, extreme bleeding, anemia and life and sex won't hurt anymore from my stupid prolapses. Here's hoping he also gets the pms lol... He didn't get a say in the hyster but he wouldn't of said anything he as excited it got him out of a vasectomy lmao... We've known i'd need one eventually since 2001 as thats when my prolapse was discovered. I am watching and waiting to see how the hormones hit me. hopefully not as bad since i won't be in as pain!

Re: Husband not getting it!

You girls will love this one, told my husband I am tired, swollen, nauseated and in pain. He told me to take a Midol..... I couldn't stop laughing. Sure I said since I don't have any female organs inside that will work. Men just don't understand, if they had surgery they would be in the hospital for weeks on end. I have two small children at home and with my mom and husband helping still a lot of work.

Just when I am out of pain now I am experiencing hot flashes, night sweats, nasea and I can't sleep. One good thing is no appetite.
