I've just scheduled

Holly cow!!!!

I just got off the phone with my doctors office and I have a date. November 24th. It will be LSH. My heart rate is off the charts right now. Chronic pelvic pain with fibroids. Looking forward to a celebration ceremony to get rid off tampons, pads, granny panties and stained sheets....but scared to death!!! Is it going to be like this for the next three weeks?

Hate to tell you, but yes it is. You just have to take it one day at a time. Everyone on here says the waiting is the worst part of the whole thing. At least you have a date! You can prepare and get yourself ready physically and mentally. Get ready for lots of support. This site is great and the ladies are wonderful. We're glad you're here!

I've just scheduled

I agree the worst part is waiting. I was due to have my hyst. 3/22/04. My mother passed away 3/18/04. I had to pospone the surgury and wait another month.

I've just scheduled

Hi Annette,

I am 6 months post-op from my LSH for two large fibroids. I am doing great. Could not be happier with my surgery results. I am fibroid free and no more b.c. and no more aunt flows. The granny pants went flying out the window in post-op.

My mom told me before my LSH, that the "waiting" was the hardest part. I agree. I busied myself with work, my garden and going to the gym to get my mind off of my surgery date.

We Hyster Sisters are here to help if we can.

Best wishes,

Mary
