3 weeks post op-overactive bladder

hi everyone

I'm 3 weeks post op and i'm experiencing a very over active bladder! I'm going almost every hour day and night. Is this normal for post op recovery? I dont want to bother my GP if it is.

Thanks!

I am a little over two weeks post-op and I am having the same problem but also feel like I'm leaking too. I don't want to bother my doctor either but I don't think this is right. Hang in there. Things are supposed to get better.

Hi
Please don't hesitate to call and ask your dr about this. There are some situations where the bladder is handled and traumatized to the point where it can cause some problems like this, but you need to know if this is true for you or if something else is going on. I had an over active bladder and the dr has given me medication that helps it a lot. You need your rest and you need to know for sure what is happening with your body. I wouldn't say that this is a normal part of recovery. There seem to be a lot of women who suffer with bladder problems but please call and find out what is happening with you and why. Let us know what you find out.

I am at 8 weeks and am having this problem. I go way more than once an hour too. The meds he gave me aren't helping so I'm going back in. I started having some pain when I go at times so I am going to have some tests run and see what this is.
