Post Vag hysterectomy - help

I had my vag hysterectomy last Tuesday March 26. It was thought that it would likely have to be thru my abdomen - but turns out I had a prolapsed vagina so they were able to do it all vaginally. Surgeon put a single stitch to "hold it up" and forbid me to lift anything over 5 lbs for 8 weeks and NOT TO PUSH while pooping for the same amount of time.

I was feeling pretty **** good until my bowels began moving. Now I am feeling pressure - like in labour pushing down - almost all the time and when i do use the bathroom i can feel things are different in there.

Is this all normal? anyone have any advice/stories about this?

I had a LAVH on March 22. My bowels definitely feel different! Like when I have gas moving through my intestines, it's more noticeable. Then bowel movements feel different.
I have a feeling in my vagina sometimes as if I'm wearing a tampon, but I'm not.

It could be normal, but I'd suggest calling your doctor just to be sure.

Thanks for replying. I am just worried that I am feeling worse and worse... instead of the other way around. The pressure feels like I am carrying a baby at 9 months... Is this normal?

I had a TVH on the 29th. Today is better but the past 2 days I had wicked gas pain and very loose stools. This morning I had a regular bowel movement and feel a million times better.

Bowel movements are daily - and other than having to remember to breathe through them - and a bit of discomfort during - they are okay and satisfying... but after if feels like all my insides have to resettle or something - and then i get the pressure - like baby- birthing pressure and pain for the rest of the day...

Please call your doctor. S/he may want to examine you to be sure everything is okay.
