Orgasm after Hysterectomy - how soon?

Hi gals, question for all of you that have "been there, done that"... how soon after your hysterectomy did you have your first orgasm? Not through penetration, of course, as I know that is off limits for many weeks (my doctor said 8) Thank you in advance

I had my first one yesterday at 22 days post op. didn't mean it I had a sex dream & the O woke me up w/ it's intensity. No bleeding or cramping afterwards but it did scare me!

I had a sleep orgasm the first night home from the hospital and had several more sleep O's in the weeks to follow. I also had one on purpose about 2 weeks post op. Doctor said it was ok as long as nothing in the vagina.

my doctor told me to give her 2 weeks before i tried having one (i guess if you have them in your sleep....your body is probably pretty ready for it) i have done some reading and found that a lot of doctors will tell you to not have oral stimulation - but my doctor didn't put any parameters on how i got it done...just to wait 2 weeks.

I think I was about 3 or 4 weeks the first time I orgasmed post-op. I was cleared to resume all normal activities (including penetration) at 2 weeks, which is when we started again, but it didn't happen right away. (My own fault -- I wanted to start out slow 'just in case' something went wrong.)

10 days. It was a sleep O. How come nobody ever talks about wet dreams for women?

Day 7 I had my first post op "O". No problems!

Once cleared by the doctor everything went right back to what is was pre-op, some minor cramping after at first but that has since subsided.

Many doctors require "complete pelvic rest" until clearance but, if yours didn't give specific orders, then you need to call and ask what is and is not allowed. You risk problems or possible infection by engaging in any sort of sex too soon.
