Exercising - 7 weeks post hysterectomy
Today is week seven and I am so ready to hit the gym. Dr. has cleared me but can't lift more than 20lbs. Or sit ups. Is the eliptical machine safe?

If you're cleared for everything but those 2 things elípticas would probably be fine. Check with your dr if you're unsure.

I would agree. The top thing to do as you get back into fitness is to listen to your body. Though you're 7 weeks and cleared, internal healing is still going on for several more months. I didn't fully buy into that until I had a few more months in the rear view mirror. The clincher was swelly belly and dull aches for 2 days after a short but intense abs workout at 5 months.
If you do something and find that your somewhat crampy, achy or swelly, it was a bit too much for where you are in healing. Pull back, stick to what works, and try again in another 2 weeks or so.
