Music,Post op?

Hey ladies, I was wondering what you all put on your mp3 players to listen to after surgery? The music I have seems to upbeat, I dont know if I would want to listen to that after surgery. Then I have some music that is so sad, that might make me emotional. I would like to maybe listen to something smoothing?!?! I dont know any suggestions?

I have a playlist I call "meditative" music, that I've used for relaxation during other procedures. I downloaded some Dan Gibson (I have Polynesian Spa but there are tons to pick from that sound good.) I have some music by Keola Beamer because it is like escaping to Hawaii. Enya is in there too. I also have a classical playlist of mellow songs by Mozart that I like. I have lots of upbeat music too, but I have a feeling I will not be in the mood for that after surgery, as you have said too.

It will be fun to see what other people suggest here too. I always like having a musical "soundtrack" to get me through things in life, whether its good or bad.

Hi sisters

what got me thru surgery was instrumental praise and worship christian music, it was soothing, and uplifting and at the same time healing

I have a variety of music. Rod Stewart, Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Cranberries, Jewel, Keith Urban. I like a lot of different music so I put many different types on my mp3 player. From country to hard rock to very mellow. I like it all and I put different types so I can listen to what I'm in the mood to listen to.

Hope this helps.

I had Coldplay's new album Viva La Vida and it's kind of a balance of positive, but not annoying, music. It's soothing, good rock music that you just can't help but listen to, kind of like U2

I also created a "Meditative" playlist. It has lots of "natural" sounds. I love the sound of rain and the ocean... Also has Enya, Enigma, Pure Moods, etc.

I can slow down and "find" myseld with it.
Oh, also have lots of rock though too...

I just bought and Mp3 to take with me, because I have to be in 4 or 5 days I have downloaded Lliquid Mind, very easy to fall asleep to, it is smooth drifting music, also movie soundtracks just instrumental, and nature sounds, surf, rain etc. I find it is easier to relax to music I don't recognize, then I'm not thinking of the melody or trying to remember the words to a song.
