I Need some Hystersister Intervention Please

I need some Hystersister Intervention[/b] Hello My sisters,
I went to the dr's yesterday to see why after almost 6months post op i'm still having craming like i'm going to start. (i had a UTI put that showed up just recently and the pain has been there for months.) So she does a exam and says," everything is ok" and it must be your bladder! She told me that My bladder would make it feel like i'm going to start..... i pondered this for a minute and asked.. how can that be when the pain is in the vagina?.. she had no answer for that just made me feel like i'm stupied and crazy!! She is the one with the phd and I don't know what my own body is feeling. Now besides the meds i have to take for hormone replacement.. i have to take meds for my bladder now too..( i took these meds when i got out of surgery and for three months ofter surgery too and the pain was there then too)Plus a anti-depressent, pain killer, antibiodic.. so a total of 6 scripts. I need help. I'm i the crazy on or is it her? My family said i'm having Phantom Pains and its nothing to worry about.. but some time the pain is so intense that it puts me in bed..
Thank you..Your sister,
Rhonda

Hugs Rhonda!!

Can you get a second opinion? That would be my suggestion... did she do an internal or have a look inside? Those would be my suggestions as I can only sympathize...

Hugs!

Oh yeah - I TOTALLY understand... I fractured my skull 8 years ago in an accident, but because I was blessed not to have a coma, some doc's took the "its all in your head" way to try to treat me - even at 3-4 weeks after my accident... sheesh - they give a broken arm 6 weeks in a cast - but the brain is suppose to be "ok" in less than that?

Good on looking at other doc's... go for it...

Hugs!

cramping after lifting and bending

I live with my grandmother, and I have been helping her clean out the closets, which results in me doing quite a bit of bending in my lower back. Since I started doiing this yesterday, I have started cramping like I did when I had flare-ups of the endometriosis pain or when I had my period. Is this just sore muscles from me not doing any abdominal exercise, or is ther something wrong? Help!

I hate it when doctors get condescending. I have changed docs over that in the past. Luckily I have a good group of docs right now. Charay... no matter how educated your doctor is, NO ONE knows your body like you do! You are the expert in what hurts and where it hurts. Your well educated doctor WORKS FOR YOU and should not make you think that you are crazy. The first time I had fibroids my old GYN treated me this way... that is why I have my NEW GYN. Yes, the explaination that you gave might be the cause, but if it were me, I would call my doctor again if I still had the pain, and go over everything that you said here and not let her off the hook until she told me something that made sense to me or ran some tests. These are just my opinions... they are intended to give you comfort. I am sorry you are hurting right now. Please keep us posted on how you are feeling.

Oh Rhonda,
Right now I think I am up to six scripts myself... and I just LOVE your description "a walking pharmacy" that is EXACTLY the way I am feeling right now!

I think I might have a number seven in my future (some sort of antibiotic) but my lab results aren't in yet, so maybe I'll escape that one. I am glad that I dont have to take my birth control pill anymore... so that helps me with my script numbers.

I just look forward to the long term... my recovery... and hopefully I will be able to loose these scripts from my life one by one (with my doctors' permission of course).

Good luck, and please feel free to PM me if you ever want to talk.

Man - can I whine here too? Let's see... before surgery - synthroid, celexa (depression) and occasionally celebrex with a stomach med - managed to drop 2 other rx in the last year before surgery - now... still on synthroid, celexa, imovane (sleeping med every other night), melatonin (the other night med), periet (reflux med), now my back is out - so add T3's and anti-spasms meds (seeing doc tomorrow)so likely add in an anti-inflam med... oh - did I mention I have not one but TWO hernia's now post op... hoping they just stay the same and settle down...

ok - enough of my pity party... just wanted others to know they are NOT alone in feeling like a hobbling drug store (walking is too painful today)...
