When can I take ibuprofen? 5 days post hysterectomy

So much pain, narcotic is causing constipation, tylenol is doing nothing.

You should have been given a discharge summary that tells you exactly when you can take pain meds and which ones. Some narcotics also have tylenol. I would just call your doctor's nurse line or the hospital and ask because they know what you've been prescribed. I hope you feel better!

*You should also have been prescribed stool softeners that you take a few times a day- that will help with constipation*

I was given ibuprofen while still in hospital. Then at home I took Aleve. You can check with your Dr as to whether either is OK, and at what dose. For me, Aleve was a good med, but I know some ladies have reasons why they can't take NSAIDs, so check if you have questions.

They gave me Ibuprofen in the hospital and my doctor sent me home with an Rx for 600mg Motrin (Ibuprofen). I take it along in between the pain meds.

I also left with a script for ibuprofen. Call you dr, but you can probably take it.
