Hi fishma3 and

its normal to feel like how you are feeling sweetie, you just went thru major surgery and all your hormones are going wild now. are you taking any type of HRT?

try to rest and heal properly, dont do anything to push your recovery back, even though you might feel a bit helpless, this is your time to relax and do you have anyone that is helping you?

Hi Mary
Welcome to Hystersisters! I'm sorry you're having a difficult time. You've come to a great place. You'll find lots of other women who will understand what you're going through. Many women find they hadn't realized how serious this surgery was going to be. You've just been through major surgery and it will take some time to heal. The emotions are so normal for most women, especially early on, please don't be discouraged. As you heal and your body adjusts it will get better.

It's best if you can understand that it's a process so you won't worry unnecessarily. If you haven't had a chance to look through the Checkpoints take some time to read what an average recovery looks like for the first couple of weeks. You can check back there as you progress for helpful tips and information on how to handle some of the questions that might come up along the way.

I hope your recovery is going smoothly otherwise. Take this time to rest and be good to yourself, we call it 'pampering the princess'. It's just good ole TLC and can make a world of difference. I'm glad you have friends who are looking in on you and can help you with things for a while. Don't hesitate to call for help. Keep us posted on your progress and let us know if we can help.
's, Rita

Hi fishma3. welcome to this site, it is the best. Everyone here has gone through what you have and are here to help in any way we can. I had a VH on sept, 18th, and these ladies here have seen me through. It is rough for us girls not being able to take care of our family and home but right now you have to concentrate on YOU. please take it easy, and dont over do it. Let your family and friends take care of your needs. It wont take long and you will be back on your feet. And the crying and being emotional is just a part of this process we have to go through .. So go put your feet up young lady and RELAX,,,,,,,,,,,,, take care. Lynn

Mary,

I am new as well.....I had a total hysterectomy on Sep 10th of this year...
I have not been taking any hormones but may have to start....
I don't seem to be that emotional but the flashes are all the time and are really getting to me......
I am not sure if I can give you any advise....this is all so very new to me.....I fell lost and helpless.......and maybe a bit useless......
But I just wanted to let you know...you are not alone.....
I am exploring this wonderful site......
There is just so much......I hurt....and am tired......but I am hopeful......
Keep the faith.....God is an amazing healer....
