Happy!!

OK ladies, I have to be honest here. I sometimes get on here and shake my little head. We can be a mess at times, can't we??? That is said with all the love and compassion I can muster.

I am sooooo thankful that I did the surgery. My innards are still healing, I am only 10 days post-op, but this has really pushed me to be healthier in my eating. I noticed that since eating smaller portions my weight has gone down a litte. My belly is still there, but at least now my boobs stick out farther I think I may have lost the funky smell (or it has lessened) as well. I can easily scare myself silly with all the possible complications that may yet come, but right now, things are groovy. I even get to have a tonsillectomy next week, can you believe it?? I hear that pain is worse, I will let you know.

Peeing and pooing is going OK, my pain is pretty much gone, it just kicks me in the *** when I do too much. I feel good about spending this time with my husband and am really trying to just be more centered and peaceful.

God blessed us---I am fortunate to have two kiddos, my promotion I start when I go back to my job will most likely be exactly my cup of tea. I will be working with homeless vets. My husband is an active-duty lifer and has spent some time in the "big sand pit."

I just wanted to share that my recovery is humble most days, filled with tv, reading, and slow walks, but I am soooo fortunate I needed to brag a little.

I'm glad you are recovering nicely and have such a positive outlook! Hooray!!! Good luck with your tonsilectomy....All I remember of mine is eating lots of ice cream! YUM! Just think how sweet life will be when you get past that last hurdle. You are almost there! With your positive outlook, it will be a breeze! Best of luck!
