5 weeks tomorrow, and having really sore belly today...

my swelly belly is really swelly today, and it's very tender to the touch. I'm wondering if it could be from healing (sensation seems to be coming back with a vengence) or from doing too much. I've been feeling great the last week, and I'm sure I'm doing too much. I also may have another bladder infection. 6-week checkup is later this week, I'm trying to hold off to see my surgeon versus going to my GP who doesn't know as much.

What do you think?

5 weeks tomorrow, and having really sore belly today...

I think your GP could handle a bladder infection, if that's what you think you have. The other questions about your healing and your surgery, I agree with you, your surgeon would be the best one to ask. Can you get in to the GP sooner than your appointment with the surgeon? I know that when I've had infections the sooner I get started on the antibiotics, the better!

Good luck with your 6-week check-up! (I still have a swelly belly, and I'm a lot farther post-op than you are!)

Wow...I had my surgery on Oct 10. Feeling exactly like you are today...maybe it's part of the healing. Felt great for most of last week and today is agony.

5 weeks tomorrow, and having really sore belly today...

Hi Kima and Elle,
Count me in too I had my surgery on October 3rd and my swelly belly and general belly sensitivity is so bad this week. I am hoping that this will pass. Anyone else have pain and itching of their incision line? Mine is just burning up today?
