Found "lump" on cervical stump; what could it be?

I had my cervix and right ovary removed last Thursday (after having a LSH and LSO 7/05). My doctor found a "lump" on the abdominal side of the cervical stump and is sending it to pathology. I have a history of severe endometriosis and also adenomyosis, and also dense adhesions on the bowels and of course all the female organs as well.

Is the lump likely to be something related to the endo/adeno, or should I be prepared for something entirely different?

I managed to make it this far (3 days post-op) before starting to get a little freaked.... I know it does no good to worry, but I am anyway.

Any ideas?

I wish I had an answer for you, but I don't - but I do have lots of prayers! I too have (had) endo and adeno, and the first hour of my LSH was spent clearing out scar tissue and adhesions from previous surgeries. My assumption is that there will always be scar tissue and adhensions, especially with the new surgery on top of the old one. Hang in there - hopefully you will hear back from the Dr soon. We'll be praying for you!

I had polyps removed and sent to pathology during a hysteroscopy prior to my LSH. One was near the cervix. I would think if that was what the lump was your gyn would be able to identify it. I hope your "lump" isn't anything serious.

Best wishes with your recovery! I am nearly 3 years post-op from my LSH. It is the best thing I have ever done!
