Re: Viginal Yeast Infection Post-Op

I had a TAH/BSO and I also had a yeast infection 3 weeks after caused from the antibiotics I had to take from an infection. The dr. gave me medication to take and I was fine. The yeast infection did not set me back except that it was driving me crazy until the medication kicked in.

Re: Viginal Yeast Infection Post-Op

Thanks dmf52, I was worried that this may complicate things and the doctor didn't seem concerned and gave me a one dose rx to cover.

Re: Vaginal Yeast Infection Post-Op

Hi nduns -

Yeast infections can be quite common after surgery. I had 3 yeast infections and a bacterial linfection. My ovaries were removed so once I started vaginal estorgen and started taking some probiotics things have since smoothed out.
