Surgery question?

I was wondering if anyone had the type of surgery that I am having.TAH,removing ovaries. Doctor said that everything has dropped down and he would be using collagen tissue from a cadaber and it would be fastened to my backbone to hold everything in place. I don't quite know how the collagen thing works, that's why I am wondering if anyone has had this done. Also others that had thier ovaries removed, has it thrown your hormones out of wack or do you even go thru any strange symptoms. Just wondering what to expect.

Surgery question?

Linda,
I really don't know what to tell you to expect, because my suregery is on August 15. My little sister had 1 ovary removed, and all went well. It's different if they have to take both ovaries out. When they take both out I'm pretty sure that yoiu have to start taking Hormones, unless your against it. My Doctor told me if both ovaries are removed it puts you into Menopause. If you go on health site's you can look into your procedure a little more detailed. Hope all goes well. God Bless
