Driving ????????

I know this question must have been asked a zillion times but I cant find the answers anywhere.

I had TAH/BSO Vertical incision. April 26.......whats the rule of thumb most people have been thru on the driving issue????
I seem to be doing good.....would like to drive this week.

I (had TAH may 1) went to Dr. yesterday and he gave me the OK. I must say, not on drugs but feel like perception is off, so I go s-l-o-w. Call your and ask. The newly regained freedom is devine.

My surgeon told me 2 weeks and the nurse stated that again when I got my instructions right before leaving the hospital. She said that I should not drive while still on narcotics and I should not drive until I feel confident that I can stamp down hard on the brake if needs be.
