18 days out and my hips are killing me!!

Anyone else have pain in their hip joints? I had an LAVH on the 5th and starting last Thursday night, my hip joints have been killing me. It hurts to walk, and really hurts to turn over in the bed or get up from a sitting position. The left is worse than the right but both hips really hurt!!!!

I struggled with my hips and knees hurting awful. It did gradually get better. I found that just a little OTC progesterone cream rubbed directly on the areas of pain helped me a lot shortly after my surgery. I take tylenol PM to help me sleep. It does take care of the pain for me now, but it has been 5 years since my surgery.

Discuss the pain with your Dr. Let us know what he suggests.

I'm at 7 weeks, my hip pain is the worst and worse than labour. I'm using heat, walking and Alleve. I had a glass of wine last night and slept 5 hours straight. Cheap drunk.

I was told to expect some hip pain and achiness after TVH/BSO. It can be caused by the rather unnatural position of being in the stirrups for an extended amount of time.
